If you’ve never heard of the Pomodoro Technique, try it out now that you’re back to work after the holidays, and see if it helps you stay more focused and overall more productive!
How it works:
- 25 minutes focused work
- 5 minutes break
- Repeat four times
- Take a longer break
One of the hardest parts of getting stuff done is simply getting started. This method offers you a small 25 minute time frame to get work done without the pressure of having to accomplish something amazing.
If you’re usually easily distracted, this technique promises a five minute break if you stay focused (we believe in you!) Multitasking between messaging and actual work can result in low efficiency and exhaustion, so this tackles that challenge!
Tips for max productivity:
- Turn off your phone
- Don’t check messages or emails
- Pick a comfortable environment
- Write down the tasks you’d like to get done for the day ahead of time in your Self Funding Planner
- Try out the suggested timeframes for a few days, but then experiment with longer periods of focused work
